Hidden projects in our daily lives, such as water pipes, electrical wiring, and gas lines, can become major headaches if not properly installed initially. The hassle of repairing them later is something many dread.
Hidden projects reflect a company's integrity, and this is the quality baseline Rolansini has always adhered to. Rolansini is now revealing these concealed engineering details within aluminum doors and windows to help consumers choose truly reliable products that excel both inside and out.
Types of Adhesives Used in Aluminum Door and Window Production:
1. Cross-Section Anti-Seepage Sealant
First, let’s discuss cross-section anti-seepage adhesive (shortened as cross-section adhesive). Before assembling each frame, Rolansini workers evenly apply this adhesive to the cross-sections of aluminum profiles using rollers. When the frame is fully assembled, the adhesive bonds gaps at corner joints, creating a barrier against moisture infiltration and maintaining a "boundary" between the profile interior and external humidity.

2. Corner Assembly Adhesive
Corner assembly adhesive is a specialized two-component polyurethane glue designed for connecting corner brackets in aluminum, steel-plastic composite, wood-aluminum composite, and aluminum-plastic composite doors and windows. By bonding corner brackets to profile cavity walls, it enhances structural strength and seals joints. This polyurethane-based adhesive offers high strength, weather resistance, and low elasticity, enabling flexible connections between corner brackets and profiles. It effectively prevents window corner cracking, misalignment, deformation, and leaks.
After preliminary assembly of each frame, Rolansini workers inject corner assembly adhesive into the frame’s corner injection holes. Injection stops only when excess adhesive overflows from the corner bracket’s side. Once cured, the adhesive tightly bonds the frame, corner brackets, and pins, significantly improving the door/window’s strength and airtightness.

3. Self-Leveling Sealant
Self-leveling sealant is applied wherever metal contacts metal. Its purpose is to prevent water leakage, and its advantages include easy application and a smooth, aesthetic finish. During rainy weather, this sealant blocks water from seeping through metal-to-metal gaps, avoiding indoor leaks.

4. Neutral Silicone Weatherproof Sealant
Neutral silicone sealant is primarily used for gaps between glass and profiles in sliding doors/windows. Before application, Rolansini workers thoroughly clean gaps between glass and frames with a cleaning agent to remove dust, grease, and moisture. Painter’s tape is then applied to both sides of gaps to prevent adhesive spillage and maintain cleanliness. The neutral silicone sealant is loaded into a caulking gun, and the gun’s rear is rotated to adjust dispensing pressure. The nozzle is cut to a suitable angle, aligned with the gap, and moved steadily to fill the gap evenly at a 45° angle, ensuring full contact. After application, excess adhesive is immediately smoothed with a scraping tool for a clean finish. The sealant is left to dry and cure.
