In New York, window and door renovation is increasingly becoming a pressing need for modern homes, representing a comprehensive upgrade to building performance and living experience. In this project, the client removed the original wooden windows, and we customized a high-performance window and door system that meets US NFRC certification standards, completely resolving common pain points in older buildings such as air leakage, high energy consumption, and inconvenient operation.
The NFRC 100 series thermally broken American-style crank window we selected features a sophisticated mechanical sealing system.
Using a crank and transmission rod, the window opener operates on gear reduction and lever principles, allowing even a window sash weighing tens of kilograms to be easily opened and closed with one hand. Once opened to a specific angle, the hardware automatically locks in place, ensuring safety and stability even in strong winds.
At the same time, the hardware will press the window sash tightly against the window frame, and together with the thick EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) rubber strips around it, a compression seal similar to that of a refrigerator door will be formed, achieving excellent air tightness and water tightness.

High-performance glass configuration: IGCC-certified glass is standard in all our North American projects, ensuring structural stability and durability. The addition of a high-performance Low-E (low emissivity) coating acts as an invisible heat barrier, effectively blocking solar heat from entering the room, improving natural light while significantly reducing air conditioning energy consumption.
The Aesthetics of French Grid: The classic French grid design is not only a tribute to the traditional architectural style of New York, but also visually adds a sense of layering and refinement to the windows, making each window a work of art.
